This is more of an end-of-week moment than a Midweek Moment, but sometimes life gets hectic. Louise and I have both had busy weeks – so much so, that it’s been hard finding time to take photos.
I spotted this cluster of everlastings in the garden at my step-son’s school. We were there for his Year 12 graduation and I just had to take a minute to snap a couple of pics. I did get some strange looks from other parents, as I squatted in the garden to get up close to the flowers. The sun was starting to set and I like the glow the light casts on the flowers.
Louise’s photo is of a relatively new plant in her garden, a Mandevilla Aloha Red. She potted it about a month ago and it appears to be thriving, which Louise says is not common! Louise managed to capture it after a spot of rain. Aren’t the colours vivid?

Once a week, Louise (of Louise Allan: Life From the Attic) and I team up to share creative photos on our websites. It’s all part of our challenge to stretch ourselves creatively.

Love these moments that you have captured. Monique I can imagine the looks that you were attracting but wasn’t it worth it to capture the ‘everlasting’ moment! Thank you for sharing 💐
