This one is most definitely for fans of the super hot and steamy aka erotica genre. It’s not a genre I seek out – I’m probably happy to stop at “hot”.
Here’s the teaser – not it’s not x-rated, but the hint of what’s next is there:
‘Do what you have to do.’ Eva stopped by my chair and bent over like a pinup girl to breathe in my ear.
‘I’ll find something to occupy myself while you’re on the phone playing with your millions.’
And here’s the blurb:
Gideon calls me his angel, but he’s the miracle in my life. My gorgeous, wounded warrior, so determined to slay my demons while refusing to face his own. The vows we’d exchanged should have bound us tighter than blood and flesh. Instead they opened up old wounds, exposed pain and insecurities, and lured bitter enemies out of the shadows. I felt him slipping from my grasp; my greatest fears becoming my reality; my love tested in ways I wasn’t sure I was strong enough to bear. At the brightest time in our lives, the darkness of his past encroached and threatened everything we’d worked so hard for. We faced a terrible choice: the familiar safety of the lives we’d had before each other or the fight for a future that suddenly seemed an impossible and hopeless dream . . .
Continuing the story of her iconic couple, Gideon Cross and his wife Eva, Captivated by You deepens the exploration of their dynamic relationship and the challenges they face.
Captivated by You by Sylvia Day is the fourth book in her Crossfire series and was sent to me by Penguin Books Australia. I have read the first three books, which explore the relationship of Eve Tramel and Gideon Crossfire. I started reading this one, but the narrative style has shifted to include Gideon’s view, which I didn’t enjoy. For me, the whole sexual objectification thing was too strong – the storyline reeks of obsession and doesn’t seem particularly healthy to me. I’ve felt that all along with the series. But … given the massive sales of the series, I know lots of readers and Sylvia Day fans will love this book and will want to see the relationship through its next stage (they’re married, but it’s not smooth sailing).
Did this get your interest? I’m giving away a print copy to a Australian reader (sorry, overseas postage is out of my budget). If you’re keen to win a copy, visit my FB page for details or comment below saying why this story would captivate you. The competition closes 18 January 2015.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Oh, they do, Sonia. They do.
Hmm… you did well to find a part that wasn’t x-rated for your teaser! Here is my TT https://cleopatralovesbooks.wordpress.com/2015/01/13/teaser-tuesday-january-13/
Yes, I wanted one with a tease that set the tone …
Not a genre I would chose either – but would peak my interest a bit if everyone was talking about it! (Still proud to have NOT read the 50 shades series though!)
Here is mine today from Little Black Lies:

I haven’t read 5SOG either, but not at all interested.
I think his millions can wait. LOL

Let’s just say they didn’t … but some people can multi-purpose.
Nice tease in your tease. 🙂

I had to stop the tease right there … it was no longer PG after that.
Think I might need to get on this Teaser Tuesday bandwagon!
You should – bet you could come up with excellent teasers!
I read the first two of the series and the whole ‘he knows me better than I know myself’ angle started to really make me uncomfortable.
And the fact that Gideon has long hair… *giggles* I was all ‘nom nom nom Gideon, hot man ina suit’ until she mentioned his hair brushing his shoulders and had to re-read that bit a couple of times and she lost me a little there.

I found a lot of things to be uncomfortable with the series, but with this book I said, “enough’s enough”. Off to read yours now.
I like hot smutty erotica but the Dom/sub angle in that book made me very uncomfortable.
Here is my first attempt https://breeguildforderotica.wordpress.com/2015/01/14/teaser-tuesday-collateral/
