Live deep…

This little bird danced around in my golden kangaroo paws this morning, drinking nectar as it hopped from stem to stem, trilling sounds of joy in between sips. It was a delight to watch.

It reminded me of this Henry David Thoreau quote, which gives me chills every time I hear it in one of my favourite movies, Dead Poets Society:

“I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life.”

This bird gets it.
