Heiresses, TheI’m not a TV watcher, but I love Downton Abbey so when this book was pitched to me, I was immediately intrigued. The Heiresses is aimed at the YA market but has the trademark money, intrigue, secrets and scandal spin that has made Downton Abbey addictive viewing. Here’s a blurb to whet your appetite:

Seventeen-year-olds Thalia, Erato and Clio are summoned to glittering 1926 London by Hestia, an aunt they never knew they had. They are shocked to discover they were separated at birth and are in fact triplets and the rightful heiresses to their deceased mother’s fortune. All they need to do is find a way to claim the inheritance from their greedy half brother, Charles.

The sisters move to Hestia’s house in Belgrave Square to begin their new lives. But amid the confusion of new romances and money, they each struggle to find their way. Thalia knows she can never return home to her dark past; Erato’s dreams threaten to slip from her grasp; and Clio must save the only mother she has ever known.

As the battle for their shared fortune grows more complex, the girls realize that they can’t trust anyone – least of all each other.

A thrillingly addictive saga of love, betrayal, money and intrigue.

  1. I would take my mom and my sister to go travelling around the world and donate half of the Money I will inherit :). Thx for the gIveaway. I am an Australian reader 🙂

  2. I would pay off the mortgages on my children’s homes to free them to choose how they would like to spend the rest of their lives without financial concerns. A percentage would also go to help women and children in less advantaged parts of the world. If there was anything left I’d pack my suitcase for a round the world trip.

  3. sounds like a great read – if I found out I was an heiress once I got the money I would build a big house in the country with a great big library including a sliding ladder and a cozy reading nook

  4. I’d use it for good and hopefully not get too full of myself!
And host many an afternoon tea party!!!

  5. Hmm, if I was an heiress!! Donate a pile of money to charity and then buy a crumbling chateau in France, renovate it and run it as a writing retreat. Dream, dream, dream!!!

  6. I would definitely go travelling; I would go and see the interesting and hidden secrets of the world, as well as all the famous and historic places.
