Louise and I were inspired by the effect of light on nature this week. Sometimes the sun hits something, creating a glowing effect, and that’s what we managed to capture. Click on the images to see the full effect.
My photo is of a borage flower head, reaching for the sun. I took the photo early in the morning and was thrilled with the result, from the bokeh effect of the background to the glowing, silvery hairs.
Louise took this photo of a Swamp pea (eucholypsis linearis) on a walk around Forrestdale Lake. The sun behind it has made it glow as if lit from within.

Once a week, Louise (of Louise Allan: Life From the Attic) and I team up to share creative photos on our websites. It’s all part of our challenge to stretch ourselves creatively.
