Nature … ever the source of inspiration.
As I was walking my ageing dog the other day, these delicate dandelion flower heads, spotted in a number of lawns, reminded me about how fragile time and life was. I used to call these weeds ‘fairy clocks’ and truly believed that if I blew the seed heads away, my wish would come true. Who knows how many wishes I wished… Anyway, I picked one, and set about capturing its delicate beauty. I love the reflection.
I’m going to work on a haiku for this.
From soft and wispy to something that stands tall: Louise is sharing this vibrant photo of a yucca leaf. She was taken by the effect of the green against the brilliant blue of the sky, and how the sun highlights the leaves behind. We both agree that it’s striking in its simplicity.
Once a week, Louise (of Louise Allan: Life From the Attic) and I team up to share creative photos on our websites. It’s all part of our challenge to stretch ourselves creatively.
