Louise and I wish all of our Midweek Moment readers a joyous Christmas and a safe end to 2015. We’ll be back in the New Year with more moments and photos.
Thank you all for reading, liking, and commenting on these posts, and for enjoying our moments as much as we enjoy posting them. For us, that’s what photography is about—capturing a moment before it disappears, after which, that moment can never disappear. Of course, we also have to remember to be in the moment, and not focus always on: ‘Where’s the camera?’
Often, too, a photo captures not only the moment and the occasion, but the feeling. The delight at a flower in a garden, the love for a salivating dog, the peace of candlelight at the end of a year. A visual and an emotional record. Of moments, of the world, of each other.
A record. An etching. Our little place in history.
Take care, everyone. Happy Christmas from Monique …
…and Louise

Once a week, Louise (of Louise Allan: Life From the Attic) and I team up to share creative photos on our websites. It’s all part of our challenge to stretch ourselves creatively.
