Wow! Fifteen weeks of Midweek Moments – yet another example of how time flies.
I haven’t had a lot of time for photography this week. The photo I’m sharing is one of those “That could be an interesting photo” moments. Sometimes it’s hard to come up with new creative ideas, but Louise and I are both finding inspiration from photography Facebook pages.
Blue Eyes started pulling up garlic from the garden this week. I found the bunches drying on the pool table and ran inside to get the camera. Soil is still hanging off the roots, giving the image an earthy, rustic feel. We aren’t able to grow a lot and this hasn’t been our best year for vegie growing, but it’s hard to beat the feeling of bringing in freshly picked fruit and vegies from the backyard.
Louise is particularly happy with her photo (even though her kids think it’s weird – it’s not Louise, I mean, mine is of garlic…). She played around with her camera settings, bumping up the ISO to get a shutter speed fast enough to capture the water drops. Of course, this meant she also had to keep pressing the button on the fountain to get a water stream, but her dogs didn’t mind that at all. I love it.
Once a week, Louise (of Louise Allan: Life From the Attic) and I team up to share creative photos on our websites. It’s all part of our challenge to stretch ourselves creatively.

I love your photo of garlic—I’m glad you took the chance! Also like the bigger images on the page, too! When I change my website, I might look for a theme that does photos better …
Thanks Louise. I played around with all the images today as part of updating a few things (hint, see Awards section).
Oh, that’s such good news! It is an excellent story, and I’m glad it’s been recognised. Congratulations!
