Midweek Moment #10

Midweek Moment

This week Louise and I found inspiration in our gardens (and why not – so much inspiration in a spring garden).

My photo is of the first tomatoes from my garden this season (the first of many, I hope). They are so small and red, but not at all perfect. I decided to set up a fun shot – the fun came mostly from trying to get the tomatoes balanced. What I love about this shot is the way it looks like a reflection on first glance, but then you realise it’s not. I was lucky with this – one shot and I knew I had a winner.

Louise was out cutting roses when she spotted this friendly fellow. At first, he seemed frightened and kept moving away from the camera, but after a while, he seemed to understand that she wasn’t going to hurt him, and he looked straight at the camera for her as if proud to have his photo taken.

Once a week, Louise (of Louise Allan: Life From the Attic) and I team up to share creative photos on our websites. It’s all part of our challenge to stretch ourselves creatively.
